Quentin Tarantino Presents: The Man with the Iron Fists

Wu-Tang Clan head RZA, who also worked with Tarantino on Kill Bill, will kick off his own film-making career with a similar homage flick, titled ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’. The film takes place in feudal China, where a warrior-blacksmith (played by RZA) who makes weapons for a small village, is put in the position where he must defend himself and his fellow villagers from invaders. The movie also stars Lucy Liu, ex-wrestler Dave Bautista, and Russell Crowe for some reason… although, they all appear to be nice fits for their respective roles. Check out the red-band theatrical trailer, in all its violent (and stylish) glory.

The Man with the Iron Fists is currently without an official theatrical release date. We’ll update the post when that changes.

Mr. Tarantinos name may be plastered all over ‘The Man with the Iron Fists’, but his main interest this year is his new film ‘Django Unchained’. Written and directed by Tarantino, the film sees Django (Jamie Foxx), a slave-turned-bounty hunter, set out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner. Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) is the mean-ass plantation owner who has kidnapped Django’s wife, and is eager to get Django back in chains. The cast also features Jonah Hill and Samuel L Jackson. Expect quirky scenes that are smoothly pieced together with more sadistic, nervous-chuckle inducing moments, keeping very true to the visionary directors previous creations.

Django Unchained opens in U.S. theaters on December 25th, 2012 and in Ireland on January 18th, 2013.
